SMASHED: MGMT not to perform

Mayfest always works closely with IFC and Panhel to bring at least one more artist to Dillo Day. Supposedly, the artist they were working to bring was MGMT. However, we have learned from a board member not assciated with Mayfest that MGMT is not one of the artists they are working on. Sorry, kids. Let's just hope Mayfest can make up for having a non-party band like The Decemberists in their line-up.

A&O to announce Ludacris show this Thursday

According to an A&O source, the group will spill all their details on their Ludacris show this Thursday at midnight. Watch The Daily and NBN.

OFFICIAL: Niteskool to bring Tapes 'N Tapes

According to a member of the Niteskool board, Niteskool will bring Tapes 'N Tapes to Northwestern on April 16th. Tapes 'N Tapes is an indie rock band from Minneapolis. As usual with Niteskool shows in the spring, the band that received their music video grant this year, The Bob Hill Band, will most likely open this show.

RUMOR: MGMT to perform for Dillo Day

According to some sources close to Mayfest members, MGMT will also perform for Dillo Day 2009. We are in the process of confirming this rumor. If you have any tips, send us an e-mail.

OFFICIAL: Decemberists and N.E.R.D. for Dillo Day

According to sources within Mayfest and on NBN, the Decemberists and N.E.R.D will play Dillo Day this year. Pharrell's Billionaire Boys Club site confirms their arrival as well.

OFFICIAL: A&O to bring Ludacris

From a source within A&O, we have learned that Ludacris will perform for students this spring. This is not the first time Ludacris has come to NU. Last year, he spoke in in Norris' McCormick Auditorium on the AIDS epidemic.
